USED GEM: Sig Sauer P220 Combat .45acp

 

Good afternoon all.  If you frequent the shop, you know how much of a pain in the ass I can be when assessing used weapons to be purchased for resale.  It means that not only are you going to get a weapon in great condition, you are going to get it at a good price as well.  Today’s USED GEM is no exception as it’s in fantastic condition.

The Sig Sauer P220 Combat .45acp pictured above came from the factory with the OD Green Cerakote you see there.  That coating was only available for a short time and is amazingly durable.  Added to the weapon after the factory are the Sig Sauer Factory slim line aluminum grips which provide outstanding traction and keep the grip profile nice and slim.  Also added are the XS Big Dot tritium sights for easy target acquisition.  In addition, you get three Sig factory 10rd mags and four Sig factory 8 round magazines as well.  She came from the factory with the SRT (Short Reset Trigger) which makes shooting these weapon an absolute dream for follow up shots.  Sig originally designed the P220 to be a battlefield replacement for the 1911 platform.  In doing so, they tried to mirror some of the design ideas of John Moses Browning including grip angle.  These are very natural point shooting weapons.
