Super Sidearm Friday 9/26/14…

Good afternoon all.  We received some great new sidearms this morning.  Two new additions to the shop and two shop favorites that are back in stock.  We’ll start with the new additions.

The SIG SAUER P238 PSP is a first for Gunshine and she is a unique sidearm.  All-metal and under a pound, the P238 microcompact is built for the most exacting 1911 enthusiast. This is a big gun that fits in your pocket. Chambered in .380acp with a 6+1 capacity (we carry the 7+1 extended mags in the shop), these weapons not only fit in your pocket; they are small enough that they disappear into your pocket.  This one has a PVD coated slide which is an ultra hard coating process that NASA developed in 2010, and Pearl grips.

The next new addition to the shop is the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 38 with the Crimson Trace Laser.  This sidearm is a new release from Smith and the upgrade here is that they finally did away with the Insight Laser which had some reliability issues on a lightweight .38spl and went to Crimson Trace.  This is a 5 shot J Frame chambered in .38spl and makes for a great concealed carry sidearm.

Next we have two shop favorites from GLOCK.  Both are Generation 4 sidearms built on the middle size, or compact, frame.  The Gen4 GLOCK 19 (9mm) and Gen4 GLOCK 23 (.40SW) are the most versatile sideamrs that GLOCK makes as the frame size allows for the ability to concealed carry, but are still just large enough to really run rounds through them comfortably.  The GLOCK 19 comes with three 15 round magazines, and the GLOCK 23 comes with three 13 round magazines.  The difference in capacity is just from the difference in the diameter of the rounds on the different calibers.  They both come with multiple backstraps that allow you to customize the way the sidearms sit in your hand.  Great all around weapons.
