Springfield Armory M1A Precision Adjustable .308win 10/27/15
Good afternoon all. There are certain weapons that strike a genetic chord with us as Americans. The 1911, the Colt Single Action Army, the M14…the list could go on for a while. I ended that list on the M14 for a reason. The Springfield Armory M1A is a civilian version of the M14 rifle designed and manufactured by Springfield Armory Inc. in 1974. The term “M1A” is a proprietary title for Springfield Armory’s M14-pattern rifle. Early M1A rifles were built with surplus G.I. parts until Springfield Armory, Inc. began manufacturing their own.
Today brings a new Springfield Armory M1A Precision Adjustable .308win into the shop (she is the FDE rifle in the middle). This weapon is the evolution of the semi-automatic civilian version of the M14, and thanks to the good folks at Springfield Armory…they just keep getting better! This weapon is from the LOADED M1A lineup and gives you some awesome features. She is obviously chambered in 7.62×51/.308win and has a 22″; 1 In 11″ Twist RH; 6-Groove National Match Medium Weight Premium Air Gauged Stainless Steel Barrel. The Front Sight is a National Match .062″ Blade, and the Rear Sight is a Match Grade (Non – Hooded .0520) Aperture w/ 1/2 MOA Adjustment For Windage and 1 MOA For Elevation. The stock is FDE Precision Adjustable and she comes with one 10 round Parkerized Steel Magazine. This model comes with an integrated fore-end rail and a grip storage compartment. This is just one of those weapons that feels right when you shoulder it. Come by and take a look…you might end up taking this one home. As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
