Sig Sauer P220 Elite Dark, CZ RAMI and CZ 75 Compact 12/24/14…

Good morning all.  Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!  We’ve got some great new sidearms in the shop this morning.  Maybe a late Christmas present for someone or for yourself!  Let’s get started.

First up, is a favorite of mine.  The Sig Sauer P220 Elite Dark is the newest edition to the P220 Elite lineup and features an ergonomic beavertail grip, front cocking serrations, front strap checkering, SIGLITE Adjustable Combat Night Sights, custom Hogue aluminum grips and the new Short Reset Trigger or SRT. SIG engineers designed the SRT to provide you the same great safety and smooth action of the SIG DA/SA with a comfortable reset that is 60% shorter for faster trigger return and surgical control during high speed shooting.  When you put this in your hand, you will immediately be reminded of a 1911.  She is a single stack .45acp and the grip angle to sight picture combo is the closest I’ve seen to a 1911 yet.  The aluminum grips are slim with lots of traction.  All you have to do is come put it in your hand and you will want one.

Next up, we have the CZ 2075 RAMI.  The CZ 2075 RAMI is a sub-compact semi-automatic based on the proven CZ 75 line of pistols. Just like the 75, the RAMI is double action/single action, allowing it to be carried in different conditions depending on the shooter’s preferences. Several safety devices are used including a firing pin block and a manual safety.  Incorporating the CZ double-stack magazine design, the little RAMI ships with a 10 round flush-mount magazine and 14 round extended magazine and is chambered in 9mm.  With a 3” barrel and an unloaded weight of less than 26 ounces, the black polycoat, alloy-framed RAMI is ideal for concealed carry.  She also has a nice set of night sights on her.

Last, but not least, is the CZ 75 Compact.  At 5″ tall with a barrel length of just under 4″, the Compact model shaves a little more than 3/4″ off the length and about 1/2″ off the height of the full-size CZ 75. Its reduced size allows it to readily disappear under regular clothing. The CZ 75 DA/SA action with a manual safety lever provides the user with two options for carry: hammer-back with the safety on for single action operation or manually decocked for a double action first shot with no need to remember to take off the safety before firing. Because the 75 Compact retains the steel frame of the original 75, only 2.4 oz of weight is lost, making it the softest-shooting compact in the CZ 75 line.  She also has a nice set of night sights on her.
