Morning all.  I’ve always been a fan of the 1911 platform.  My dad’s 1911 was the first sidearm I ever handled and it was at a young age.  Considering the design has been around since the late 1800’s, and a good percentage of the firearm manufacturers out there are still putting out new evolutions of the original design, it’s safe to say that my opinion is not alone.  Sig Sauer has been putting out some of the best 1911’s available in that “around a thousand bucks” range for many years now.  It’s hard to find competition at the same price point that can rock and roll like the Sig 1911’s.

The Sig Sauer 1911 Nickel 5″ Rail has a Nitron Nickel finish and comes with an integral M1913 accessory rail, low profile night sights, checkered front strap (25-lpi) and mainspring housing (20-lpi), brown vector G-10 grips complete the package. grips with steel magwell. This 8+1 capacity model 1911 pistol features a stainless steel slide, stainless steel frame, match grade barrel, hammer/sear set and trigger. The slide and frame is machined to exacting tolerances and hand-fitted to ensure reliability and performance.
