New Smith & Wesson Performance Center Revolvers on 6.6.2014…
Good evening all. We got some beautiful Smith & Wesson Performance Center revolvers in this afternoon. Performance Center guns originate from standard designs or are created from the ground up. From hand-cutting and fitting to fine tuning for precision, these firearms are top performers. Products from the Performance Center are the ultimate expression of old-world craftsmanship blended with modern technology. Both revolvers that arrived today are chambered in .357mag and both are unique in that these models have never been in the shop before today. Let’s get started.
First is the Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 627. This revolver has a 5″ barrel that has gold bead front and adjustable rear sights. The overall length is 9.5″ and the frame and cylinder are both stainless steel with a matte silver finish. She has an 8 shot cylinder. The 627PC comes with beautiful hardwood grips as well as a spare set of over molded rubber grips. The trigger is .312 chrome with an overtravel stop. The hammer is chrome tear drop with a pinned sear. The photos below speak volumes.
Next, we have the Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P R8 revolver. The revolver above maybe both beauty and the beast, but this one is ALL BEAST. She also has a 5″ barrel but the overall length is 10.5″. This is an all black Scandium Alloy frame with a black Stainless Steel Cylinder. She is also an 8 Shot Cylinder. The M&P R8 has an interchangeable front sight and an adjustable V-Notch Rear sight. A big comfy over molded black rubber grip completes the darker than night image this revolver has. She has an integrated rail in case you wanted to mount an optic on top of her which makes me think an RMR would be a LOT of FUN. This revolver is bad to the bone.
