New SIG SAUER P220 MATCH ELITE 10MM DA/SA 9/3/15…

SIG P220 MATCH ELITE 10MM DASAGood afternoon all.  We can almost see the weekend and I’m about to make someones day.  These weapons have been harder to find than the truth in the news.  The shop has had 5 of these come through in the last 5 months.  Most of them were spoken for before they arrived.  This one came in yesterday.  The person that is next on my wait list has until close of business today to state his intentions on this weapon, and then it’s up for grabs.  Now to the fun part.  The SIG SAUER P220 MATCH ELITE 10MM DA/SA is not even on Sig’s website.  The Single Action Only versions are up there on the site but not this Double Action/Single Action model.  There are so few of these in circulation, I want to keep it…but I can’t right now.  She’s a Reverse Two Tone, 5″ barreled 10mm cannon that sits on the Elite Stainless Steel Beavertail Frame with a Nitron coated Stainless Steel Slide.  The Short Reset Trigger (SRT) is a joy to shoot and this weapons reset seems even shorter than my P220 Combat in .45acp.  She sports the standard Siglite Tritium Night Sights, and a beautiful (and traction friendly) set of Black G10 Piranha Grips.  This weapon is heavy.  The four that were here and sold to clients of the shop all received rave reviews on the lack of recoil for a weapon chambered in 10mm.  The weight definitely has something to do with that but so does the balance.  This is one of the most well balanced weapons I’ve ever put in my hand.  She’s also a single stack, in typical P220 fashion, making her easy to hold even for people that don’t have bear paws for hands.  She comes with two 8 round magazines.  The interesting side note (and a discovery made by one of my friends that purchased the last one that the shop received) for all of you that already own a P220 in .45acp is that this weapon can use the same magazines as the .45acp P220.  As I write this, and read back what I’m writing to myself, I’ve come to a decision.  The person on the waiting list has until Close of Business today to lay claim to it, and if that doesn’t transpire the rest of the world has until Close of Business tomorrow to get this thing away from me.  If not…I regret to inform all of you, and my bank account, that it’s mine.

As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
