New sidearms including SIG SAUER P320 Carry on 9/18/14…
Good morning all. We received some great new sidearms yesterday and it was supposed to be a busy Blog day, but it ended up being a busy shop day which is why I didn’t get the chance to post them. We’ll get started with a weapon that gives a tremendous amount of value for the money in the SIG SAUER P320 Carry. She is chambered in 9mm, has SigLite Night Sights, sports front and rear slide serrations for chambering a round or clearing (never had one on my Sig’s) malfunctions. She feels great in the hand and has one of the shortest and crispest triggers you’ll find on any double action only sidearm at any price range. The trigger reset is unbelievably short and this weapon is a joy to shoot. There is a LOT of bang for the buck here with all of these features.
Next, we have a shop staple in the GLOCK 26 Gen4. GLOCK’s sub-compact 9mm or “Baby Glock” has a lot of bark and a lot of bite for a small pup. She comes with three 10rd magazines and the Modular Back Strap design lets you instantly customize its grip to adapt to an individual shooter’s hand size. The surface of the G26 Gen4’s frame employs the new scientifically designed, real-world-tested, Gen4 rough textured technology. Internally, the new GLOCK dual recoil spring assembly substantially increases the life of the system. A reversible enlarged magazine catch, changeable in seconds, accommodates left or right-handed operators.
Finally, we have a new release from Smith & Wesson in the M&P22 Compact. I have to admit that I wasn’t getting the concept behind this weapon before I actually held it. The full size M&P22 pistol from Smith is a straight up trainer as it has the same dimensions as the rest of the M&P Pistol lineup. This M&P22 Compact doesn’t really have the same frame size as any of Smith’s duty pistols and it’s a .22lr. Once I put it in my hand, all of those reservations went away. This is Smith’s promotion blurb from their website and I’m inclined to agree with them:
