The new Ruger GP100 7 Shot .357mag with a 2.5″ barrel is a nice addition to the existing lineup of revolvers from Ruger. There is some nice weight on this revolver (36 oz) to mitigate recoil even though she sits on a small frame. The frame and cylinder are both stainless steel and as mentioned above, the cylinder has a smiling 7 shot capacity. The stocks are cushioned rubber with hardwood inserts and make for a very comfortable grip. The new Ruger GP100 7 Shot .357mag has adjustable rear sights and fiber optic front sight which makes for a very nice sight picture on a small revolver. This weapon is a throwback to the feel of the old Smith Model 60 in .357mag and it is a welcome addition to the revolver world.
