M&P9 Performance Center Ported 5″ 9mm 10/20/15…
Good evening all. Today brought some nice weaponry into the shop and tomorrow will bring even more. We are going to get started with a weapon that has never been inside Gunshine until today. The Smith & Wesson M&P9 Performance Center Ported 5″ 9mm Pistol is a precision beast of a sidearm. This is a double action only, semi-auto, M&P9 that sits on a Polymer frame with a black stainless slide. That’s pretty much where the similarities end between this weapon and a standard M&P9.
She has a 5″ ported barrel and ported slide, and sports an enhanced trigger and Performance Center Sear. This is one of the cleanest DAO triggers I’ve seen and the reset is a thing of beauty. She comes with an Adjustable Trigger Stop which was designed to stop Trigger Over Travel. The slide is machined to support the C.O.R.E. (Competition Optics Ready) system which includes Optics Mounting Kit Slide Cut to Accept the Following Optics: Trijicon RMR, Leupold Delta Point, Jpoint, Doctor, C-More STS, and the Insight MRDS. I have to say that I’m not really an S&W semi-auto pistol guy, but this weapon has a whole lot going for it at a pretty insane price point when compared to other weapons that try to fill this niche in the market. She feels very nice in the hand, is extremely light, sports the standard 17 round capacity and promises low recoil due to the porting. I would love to take her for a test drive but this is the first one of these I’ve ever held. She is being saved for….well….maybe you. I would love to get someones opinion on this weapon, so come on in and take her off my hands. Then run her like we all want to, and tell me what you think.
As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
