The Mossberg 590 Shockwave .410ga has landed!  The Shockwave series of home defense weapons from Mossberg have been wildly popular for the last year or so.  It’s nice to see them release a .410ga that anyone can wield and operate in defense of their home.  The pirate handle (they call it a bird’s head pistol grip) combined with the limited recoil of a .410ga makes this weapon all kinds of fun.  It’s a 6 shot, and with some of the .410ga solutions available on the market from Winchester PDX1 and Hornady, this little lightweight shotgun/pistol packs a substantial deterrent to intruders.  It’s the best of all worlds if you are looking for a weapon anyone in your household can pick up in defense of your family.  They are reasonably priced.  It’s hard to argue with this solution from Mossberg.
