Might be the last of the Russian rifles through the shop 9/5/14…
Good evening all. Those who follow the Blog know that the shop doesn’t really carry that much in the AK line of weapons. One of our distributors finally got clearance from their legal department to unload the remaining Russian stock that they had on hand. Gunshine was able to pick up a couple of really nice Russian weapons. The way things are going, these might be the last Russian weapons that I can find at a decent price, and in turn sell to you for a decent price. This means that these might be the last Russian weapons that we carry until something changes on the foreign relations front with Russia and the Western world. Lock, stock and two smoking barrels….let’s get started.
First in is the VEPR 308 rifle. I don’t tend to think of AK’s as beautiful weapons, but this one has it’s charm. She has a very nice dark wood stock and hand guard. The VEPR has a 20″ barrel and is chambered in .308. VEPR has a reputation for producing an unbelievably reliable and quality product and this rifle hasn’t shown me anything to question that. The short throw gas piston system that produces very little recoil is what made the AK platform famous (not to mention that they run under the worst conditions and while they are disgustingly dirty, and they run non-stop). She comes with two 5 round magazines.
Then we have a favorite of AK enthusiasts. From the IZMASH factory in Russia comes the SAIGA 20 which is a 20 gauge shotgun built on the AK platform. It’s as cool as it sounds. She has a 22″ barrel and comes with two 5 round magazines. This SAIGA is all about business and it puts a smile on my face.
As always, thank you for reading the Blog at https://gunshinearms.com
