Memorial Day Weekend…

 

 

Memorial Day Weekend is upon us again.  I know that a lot of people just look at this holiday as a three day weekend during which they can unwind and have a little fun with family and friends.  I look forward to doing a little of that myself this weekend.  Just remember that Memorial Day is significant to everyone who thinks of themselves as an American.  Whether you have family or friends that have given their lives throughout the history of the armed services or not, your life here as an American is possible because of them.  Most of us have been to a memorial service at some point in our lives.  The purpose of those services is to remember and reflect upon those that have been lost, and to rejoice in the impact those people had on our lives.  Please remember to take a moment on Monday and reflect upon what kind of life you have here in America as well as the people that have made that possible throughout history with their service to you.  A life of service to our nation should always be respected.  A life given in service to our nation should always be remembered.
