Important Notice regarding change in Store Policy – 5/14/2014…

Good morning all.  A change in store policy is going into effect today May 14, 2014.  There are some firearms or serialized receivers that have either been purchased here at Gunshine Arms,  or transferred into the shop, that have not been retrieved by their owners to be.  Some have been here over six months and one has been here almost a year.  As there has never been a policy regarding charging for storage here at the shop (it’s not something I want to get into), there will now be a policy regarding items that are left here for more than 90 days.

Effective immediately, if you purchase a firearm in the shop and do not return to retrieve the firearm within 90 calendar days, you will forfeit the firearm and it becomes shop property.  You will not receive a refund.  This does not apply to Class 3 weapons.

Effective immediately, if you transfer a weapon or serialized receiver into the shop and do not come to retrieve your weapon within 90 days, the weapon will be shipped back to the FFL that transferred it here at the shop’s expense and you will be barred from transferring weapons or serialized receivers into the shop permanently.  This does not apply to Class 3 weapons.

For those weapons or serialized receivers that have already been in the shop for an extended period of time, the clock on those weapons starts today May 14th, 2014.  This is a new policy and in the interest of fairness, we will give these clients a full 90 days to retrieve their weapons.  We will be putting forth maximal effort to inform these clients that they still have property here in the shop and that they should retrieve it at their earliest convenience.

We have no interest in reclaiming inventory, but we also have no interest in providing free long term storage.  Please do the right thing and come to retrieve your items.
