Holy Handgun Tuesday 8/19/14…
Good evening all. I apologize for the late post but it’s been a busy day at Gunshine. We received a lot of ammunition today and now we have a nice influx of new sidearms to talk about. We received new sidearms today that are made in the USA, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. Let’s get started with the good old USA out of the gate.
The GLOCK 42 is back in stock at Gunshine. These are American made little workhorse weapons chambered in .380acp. They behave in typical GLOCK fashion, which is to say that they are pretty much unstoppable. Mine now has about 2500 rounds through it and it is the most pleasing double action, pocket size .380 I’ve ever shot. Not a surprise, as these weapons are hard to keep in stock. The only thing (and I repeat this every time we get another shipment) to keep in mind is that these weapons do no like ammunition under 95gr. Feed her 95gr ammunition or higher and she’s happy as can be.
Since we are already talking about .380 pocket pistols, we might as well roll into the new SIG SAUER P238 EQUINOX that came in today. While I said that the GLOCK 42 is the most pleasing double action .380 that I have ever shot, it is my opinion that the SIG P238 is the finest single action only .380 pocket pistol in production today. The SIG SAUER P238 EQUINOX features SigLite Night Sites in the rear and a Tritium Fiber Optic front site that jumps out at you if you were interested in finding a site picture. These weapons have an all metal frame and this one has some nice black wood grips and a stainless slide. SIG SAUER makes so many variations of all of their weapons that it’s hard to keep track of them all, but this happens to be one of the nicer configurations that they offer. Great concealed carry/pocket pistols from a world leader in firearms manufacturing.
We are now going to get into the 9mm entries into the shop today and there are some great ones. Let’s start with a new Gen4 GLOCK 19 in Flat Dark Earth. Many of you have heard me say this before, but it still holds true. The GLOCK 19 is the most versatile weapon that GLOCK makes. It’s small enough to conceal and large enough to really run rounds through it. She comes with three 15 round magazines and a number of backstraps that allow you to customize the grip profile to fit you for comfort. There are a lot of people that love these Flat Dark Earth weapons and there is no price difference between them and the normal black finish at Gunshine. Come and get her.
Our next two entries are from CZ USA. CZ has a loyal following amongst people who have shot their weapons and I count myself among them. These are full steel frame weapons that may seem heavy to some, but really are fantastic to shoot. They are double action/single action and the two models that we received today both have decocking levers. Night sites come standard on both models. The first photo below is of the CZ 75 P-01 which is the 3.8″ Compact 9mm from CZ that comes with two 14 round magazines.
The second photo below is of the full size CZ 75BD which is the 4.7″ pistol that comes with two 16round magazines. If you have never shot a CZ, I would recommend that you find someone that owns one and ask to try it at the range. It might change the way some people think about sidearms in this world filled with polymer framed pistols.
As always, thank you for reading the Blog at https://gunshinearms.com
