Feeling a bit Mossy on Tuesday 9/15/15…

Good afternoon all!  Lots of new inventory came in today but we are going to get started with the Mossy entries first.  Three new Mossberg Shotguns arrived today and each one is designed for something very different from the others.  Let’s MOSSY SHOTGUN DAYget started with one of my favorites in the Mossberg 930 JM Pro 10 Shot Semi-Auto 12gauge (she’s at the top of the photo).  That’s a mouthful.  10 Shot being 9 in the tube and one in the chamber.  Jerry Miculek is a WORLD RENOWNED COMPETITION CHAMPION in a lot of shooting categories.  There are two major manufacturers that have built weapons in his honor, and with his design input, and Mossberg is one of them.  The 930 JM Pro Series of shotguns is easily the best bang for the buck on the competition circuit in a shotgun as its primary competitors are from the likes of Benelli, Beretta and FNH at considerably higher price points.  This is a race gun through and through, but if the 24″ barrel doesn’t bother you, it could easily be used for home defense/tactical purposes.

The next shotgun down in the photo is a bargain.  You are looking at the Mossberg 500 Flex Mariner Edition also chambered in 12 gauge.  The Flex Series from Mossberg is ingenious in the fact that they can be disassembled and reassembled completely without any tools, and there are a number of interchangeable furniture options that make this a very plug-n-play friendly shotgun.  Being that we are all Floridian, and at least everyone knows someone with a boat, the MarineCote finish on these shotguns is made for us and our proximity to the ocean.  She has a 28″ ported barrel and a 5+1 capacity.  A lot of value here.

Lastly, at the bottom of the photo, is a shotgun that his little practical use but is just a (literal) blast to own.  The Maverick Thunder Ranch by Mossberg is a Tactical Over & Under.  Yeah, you read that right.  She has tactical rails on both sides of the 18.5″ barrel, as well as a full rail for Reflex Optic mount up top and fiber optic front sights.  She comes with a Neoprene shell carrier over the stock.  The nicest thing about this weapon is if you do any camping or hiking.  She comes apart just like any other over and under, except the barrel is only 18.5″ long.  This means that when separated, both parts fit easily in a small back pack.  That’s the smile in this little 12ga. for me.

As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
