The CZ 97 BD holds a special place in my world.  This is one of the best values you will ever see in a .45acp.  This is a full sized, 10+1 capacity, unbelievably naturally pointing weapon.  The grip angle and low bore axis were born out of the old Browning Hi-Power design and has more than a little John Moses Browning in its soul. Just as the standard 75 has a decocker variant, so does the CZ 97 BD. For those who prefer the heavy double action first pull, the BD model adds a manual decocker to help drop the hammer to half-cock.  When decocked, the first pull is long but smooth as silk and all follow up shots are nice and short with regard to reset.

I haven’t seen one of these weapon from CZ in a little more than 3 years.  It’s nice to see them starting to ship these again although I wouldn’t count on seeing a lot of them.  The CZ 97 BD shares many of the features of the B model, including its hardy black polycoat finish and thin aluminum checkered grips. Besides the decocker, the BD also adds a set of 3-dot tritium night sights.
