This post is all about opposite ends of the spectrum on 9mm sidearms.  Both sides of this equation are weapons to be confident in, but which one makes more sense for you depends on your preference and philosophy.  First up is one of my favorite, no-nonsense, 9mm combat sidearms to grace the shop.  The CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical is a DA/SA hammer fired 9mm with a decocker.  She sports a full steel frame and comes with two 18 round magazines, tritium night sights. comfy rubber grips, and has the spirit of a gunfighters handgun.  Keep in mind that the genetics of this gun spring back to the Browning Hi-Power which draw its lineage from J.M. Brownings 1911 design.  Great grip angle and low bore axis yield impressive results.  What that means is this weapon has more natural pointing ability than a pedigree English Pointer.  The proof is born out running this beast at the range.  If you are thinking about adding a full size 9mm to your arsenal, I highly recommend giving this weapon a good long look.

GLOCK’s are considered to be “old reliable” in the DAO platform of 9mm hand guns.  This is the premium level of the GLOCK lineup.  The Larry Vickers GLOCK 17 RTF2 sports special LAV serial numbers, RTF2 frame (rough texture format 2), black finish, Wilson Combat sights (gold bead front sight), Tango Down extended magazine release, Tango Down slide stop, Tango Down base plates for the magazine and Tango Down grip plug with an integral disassembly tool and sight adjustment tool.  GLOCKs attributes for some folks are also their detriments for other folks.  GLOCKS are simple machines (2×4 with a trigger) and there is a lot to be said for that.  This weapon is the refined version of that simple weapon.  She’s easy to run and has all the extras you could want.  If you love GLOCK weapons, and part of me does, this is the ideal service size pistol.

You can’t make a bad decision between these two weapon and that’s really the point.  When you get to this level of sidearm, just pick one and enjoy it….or if you have the ability, pick both!  As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
