Beretta CX4 Storm Carbine 9mm 6/1/17
Happy June 1st! This year is whipping by at a pretty fast pace. Today brings the return of an affordable 9mm rifle to the shop in the Beretta CX4 Storm Carbine 9mm. These just haven’t been available in any numbers for a long time and it’s nice to see them pop back up on the scene. This is the SR92 or variant that takes the Beretta 92 magazines. This carbine has a 16.6″ barrel but an overall length of under 30″ making it a tack driver with an overall length suited towards home defense and close quarters action. To keep the measurement in perspective, a standard short barrel rifle in 5.56 with a 10.3″ barrel has an overall length of roughly 28″ with the stock completely collapsed. I’ve shot these rifles pretty extensively. They have any easy cheek weld and a natural sight picture the way they are designed. Running 147gr rounds through through this weapon is a joy as there is almost no recoil. They now come equipped with the top picatinny rail installed for easy reflex/optic installation. These carbines are a no brainer at the price for what you get out of them considering what the 9mm AR platform rifles have been going for. Doesn’t hurt that there are a million Beretta 92 mags in circulation. Great all around range/defensive carbine. As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
