Beautiful Ruger Redhawk Revolvers landed today…

Ruger RedhawkWheelgun Wednesday  kicks off with two beautiful Ruger Redhawk revolvers today.  On the left is the Ruger Redhawk (Model 5033) with a  2.75″ barrel and an 8 shot cylinder chambered in .357magnum.  On the right is the Ruger Redhawk (Model 5058) with a 4.20″ barrel and a 6 shot cylinder chambered in .44magnum.

The 8 shot .357magnum Redhawk is finished in a brushed stainless, sports an un-fluted cylinder, hardwood grips, adjustable rear sight and front ramp sight.  Although the barrel length is relatively short, the weapon comes in at just under three pounds empty so recoil management is not an issue.  This would make an ideal hunting sidearm here in Florida, or just an all around fun weapon to take to the range.

The 6 shot .44magnum is finished in brushed stainless and has a very traction friendly pair of black micarta grips.  The sights are rear adjustable and front fiber optic making for a very nice sight picture.  Just like the .357mag, this .44mag would make an ideal hunting sidearm and is right at 3 lbs empty.

It’s odd timing to have these two weapons arrive here today for Wheelgun Wednesday the day after William Ruger Jr. passed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ruger family.  My hope is that Ruger continues on the path they have been on as a company with regards to innovation as well as understanding what they do well and running with it.
