This Springfield Armory Trophy Match is a true custom shop 1911.  It does not exist in Springfield’s catalog.  There are a lot of great features on this weapon.  Let’s start with the trigger and the barrel as that is where the majority of the smiles happen when you are shooting a sidearm.  Both are custom.  The trigger is a 3.5lb skeleton with a crisp clean break.  The National Match Grade barrel is made by KART and can be found in some of the highest end 1911’s in production.  The steel frame is clad in G10 Grips that provide some aggressive traction for serious shooters.  The funneled magwell combined with front and rear strap checkering on the grip complete the experience.  Adjustable rear Bomar sights and a front fiber optic sight make for sight acquisition that is easy on the eyes (no matter how old they might be:).  All around great weapon at a ridiculously nice price point of $999.99 plus tax and the $5 background fee.
