Mossberg Shotgun Friday!
Happy Friday All! Got a lot of nice shotguns in today, all Mossberg. Starting from the top, you have the Mossberg 500 Scorpion 12ga, in the middle you have the Mossberg 590 12ga, and at the bottom is the Mossberg 590 Shockwave 12ga Pistol.
The Mossberg 500 Scorpion comes decked out from the factory. Starting with the TacLite Adjustable stock, and ATI Grip, and ATI Akita Forend to give you a nice handle on this machine. Mossberg incorporated a Halo Heatshield with a high front sight on it which matches up with the ATI Halo Side Saddle that is mounted directly to the 500 shotgun’s tapped receiver. T Add-A-Shell units are included, that mount to any of 9 possible positions. Each Add-A-Shell unit can be flipped 180° for user-preference of brass up/brass down orientation. A removable top rail provides for a variety of sight or accessory mounting options. This is one badass shotgun out of the box!
The Mossberg 590 7 Shot is a workhorse of a tactical 12ga and a bargain for what you get out of her. Ideal for home defense or utilizing it as a trunk monkey (google the trunk monkey car commercials if you don’t get the reference) for those moments you just don’t see coming while you’re on the road.
Last, but not least, is the new Mossberg 590 Shockwave 12ga pistol. The Shockwave Raptor bird’s head-style pistol grip is uniquely shaped to provide a firm grip and to minimize felt recoil. A feature on all Mossberg pump-actions, the ambidextrous top-mounted safety is easily reached and operated by left or right-handed shooters. The 590 Shockwave features a convenient clean-out tube magazine cap, a front bead sight, and strapped forend to keep shooter’s lead hand clear of the muzzle which is important as the overall length of this 12ga is about 26″ with 14″ of that being barrel. It’s a short package and effective for all sorts of close quarters situations.
