New CZ 97B & Sig Sauer P226 TACOPS on 2/24/16…

Good afternoon all and Happy Hump Day!!!  Today is a great day for sidearms at Gunshine Arms.  Both of the weapons that came in today fall into the category I think of as “sidearms a gunfighter would love”.  As long as you don’t have overly small hands, both of these weapon fit into your hand like they were engineered for you.  Both have a very friendly grip angle making them very easy to point shoot right out of the box and both have a very comfortable/comforting beaver tail to make sure your dominant hand stays nice and high in the tang.  Last, but not least, both of these weapons have very friendly sight pictures.  The front sight on both weapons jump out at you when you snap them up (green for the Sig, and red for the CZ).

CZ 97BThe CZ 97B is the full size .45acp sidearm from the folks at CZ USA.  The CZ 97 B is the big-bore brother to the CZ 75 B. It is operationally identical to the 75 B (SA/DA, firing pin block safety and magazine brake). Features include a screw-in barrel bushing, loaded chamber indicator and a double-stack magazine holding 10 rounds as well as some beautiful slim line aluminum grips.  Even though the mags are double stack, the grip is still pretty thin making it controllable and the standard CZ low bore axis makes the weapon easy to point and helps manage recoil.  The frame and slide are full steel and the barrel is cold hammer forged.  I own a version of this weapon and you will not find a more competent tool anywhere in .45acp for the price point that CZ makes them available.

P226 TACOPSThe Sig Sauer P226 TACOPS is an absolutely no-nonsense 9mm combat sidearm.  From the moment you pick this weapon up, you want to be put in front of steel silhouettes immediately with someone holding a buzzing timer in your ear.    The Sig Sauer P226 Tactical Operations is a full-sized 9mm, featuring a stainless steel slide with rugged, wear-resistant Nitron finish, front cocking serrations and SIGLITE rear night sight, a TRUGLO Tritium Fiber Optic front sight and features the Short Reset Trigger or SRT. SIG engineers designed the SRT to provide you the same great safety and smooth action of the SIG DA/SA with a comfortable reset that is 60% shorter for faster trigger return and surgical control during high speed shooting. The beavertail frame is black hard anodized light weight alloy with integral Picatinny rail and polymer Magwell grips. The pistol comes with four (4) 20 round super capacity magazines so it’s ready to see action.

I really can’t say enough nice things about either of these weapons.  My only advice to you is buy both if you can.  You’ll never regret a day of ownership for as long as you have them.  As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
