SMITH & WESSON 500 MAGNUM on 1/14/16…

Good morning all and Happy Thursday!  Today brings a brute of a weapon into the shop for all of you hunters out there.  The Smith & Wesson 500 sits on the massive X-Frame and is the most powerful production revolver in the world today.  Let’s just let that sink in for a second.  This 500 comes from Smith with a 6.5″ factory ported barrel.  The porting has a beautiful and ingenious design that will help keep the barrel down when firing.  She is DA/SA and has adjustable rear sight with the red ramp front.  The .500 Smith & Wesson Magnum cartridge creates over 2,600 ft./lb. of muzzle energy which means that there is not a game animal on earth that this load will not put to the ground.  Can also be used to stop an 18 wheeler if you just happen to see one out of control on a rural road near where you hunt.  That last line is funny….but accurate, or as accurate as you are.  She’s in the shop and she wants to come home with you.  Come by and take a look when you have time.  As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
