New SIG SAUER SP2022 & GLOCK 42 FDE 10/8/15…

SIG SAUER SP2022Good afternoon all!  It’s Thursday which means that I can almost see the weekend!  These weeks go by in the blink of an eye somehow.  This morning brought two very economical sidearm choices into the shop.  We will get started with the SIG SAUER SP2022 as this weapon is one of the best bangs for the buck in SIG’s lineup.  She is a DA/SA hammer fired 9mm with a 15 round capacity (2 magazines included), and has a frame mounted decocker but no safety.  This weapon behaves like her more expensive cousins in the SIG lineup from a functionality standpoint, but the big difference is the Polymer frame.  The SIG standard weapons (P226, P229, etc.) all have the have the alloy or steel frame depending upon the model.  The design of this weapon G42 FDEhelps SIG SAUER, and subsequently stores like mine maintain the price point low and affordable.  For people looking to get into a first sidearm, this is a great choice and a bargain on top of it.

Next up is a great choice for concealed carry from GLOCK.  The GLOCK 42 is a 6 shot (2 magazines) .380acp DAO pistol.  She’s a single stack and does fit comfortably in a front pocket.  It all but disappears if you carry inside the waist band.  I own one of these and can’t say enough nice things about it.  She handles the 99grain HST hollow points as well as the 100grain hardcast flat nose from Buffalo Bore without missing a beat.  Slim, compact and thanks to the folks at Federal and Buffalo Bore, powerful.  As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
