Smith & Wesson MP9 Shield & Walther PK380

 

 

 

Good morning all and Happy Friday!  A couple of early morning entries into the shop for people in the market for a concealed carry sidearm.  The Smith & Wesson MP9 Shield is a staple for concealed carry permit holders.  Chambered in 9mm, she comes with two single stack magazines.  One 8 round and one 7 round.  Super slim, with a comfortable grip, you get nice capacity out of a weapon that disappears inside a waist band.  Standard contrast 3 dot sights present a nice sight picture.  Great little weapon at a very competitive price point from Smith & Wesson.

The Walther PK380 is another weapon that doesn’t get a lot of press in the concealed carry market, but it should.  Its small grip is ideal for shooters with small hands. The slide is easy to operate. The light weight goes unnoticed in a pocket or purse.  The shop has a fair amount of clients that have problems with hand strength.  The coordination and force necessary to operate modern semi-automatic pistols is sometimes elusive for them.   This is by far the lightest spring tension on the slide of any handgun in the shop.
