KEL TEC Sub2000 G17 & KSG on 7/16/15…

Good afternoon all.  Some great long guns landed this afternoon.  Let’s get rolling with some entries from Cocoa Beach, FL.  KEL TEC Industries is consistently one of the better innovators with regard to R&D in the industry year after year, and the two weapons that arrived today are a big part of that reputation.  First up is the KEL TEC Sub2000 G17 rifle.  This is a 9mm carbine that takes the 17 round magazines from the GLOCK 17 pistol.  The innovation in this rifle is in the fact that she folds in half which condenses it down to a size that fits in a laptop case.  These weapons are extremely popular with preppers and backpackers due to the fact that it can be stowed and transported easily.  9mm tack driver of a rifle.
KELTEC SUB2K G17 AND KSG Next up is a favorite of the shop’s clients in the KEL TEC KSG Shotgun.  This is a 12 gauge tactical pump shotgun shoehorned into a bullpup design that boasts two 7 round magazines tubes with a selector switch.  That’s 14+1 capacity using 2 3/4″ shells.  Yup, you read that right.  Having shot these shotguns extensively, I will tell you that it wants to be manhandled.  If you baby the pump action on the KSG it will not function correctly.  These shotguns are literally built to be abused.  The top rail begs for a reflex sight which makes shooting this mini-monster a blast.  For it’s size and capacity, there is nothing on the market that comes near it’s capabilities.
