New FNAR Heavy .308 and Core15 Keymod Scout 5/20/15…

FANAR 308Good afternoon all.  Some great long guns at great prices to discuss today.  Let’s get started with a favorite of mine in the FNAR Heavy .308 from FNH USA.  There is so much value in this weapon for what it gives you that it’s scary.  The heavy barrel version of the FNAR is chambered in 7.62x51mm and features an ambidextrous magazine release and 20″ cold hammer-forged MIL-SPEC fluted barrel with hard-chromed bore and target crown. A one-piece, receiver-mounted MIL-STD 1913 optical rail comes standard, along with a trio of similar accessory rails attached to the adjustable synthetic stock’s fore-end for mounting a battery of tactical lights and lasers.  The Length of Pull (14″) is adjustable via interchangeable recoil pads and she also comes with interchangeable cheek rests.  Effective firing range on the Heavy Barrel version that is in stock is 1,100 meters.

CORE15 KEYMOD SCOUTNext up, we have a great value from Core15 in their Keymod Scout Rifle chambered in 5.56.  Core 15 has been making some of the best weapons at their price point in the market for some time now.  The Keymod Scout Rifle is a prime example of that philosophy made reality.  Let’s look at some specs.  Mil-Spec Forged 7075-T6 Lower Receiver,Type III Class II Hard-coat anodized finish, beveled Magwell for improved reloading speed, and machined Chevrons in front of magazine well.  Mil-Spec Forged 7075-T6 M-4 Upper Receiver, Type III Class II Hard-coat anodized finish, M4 Feed Ramps, (1913 Picatinny rail flat top) w/ dry lube internal finish.  12.5″ Keymod Rail allows for all sorts of keymod accessories to be attached, and a full length flat top with picatinny rail up top for optics rounds out the weapon.  All of normal features are standard; 6 position stock, threaded barrel with A2 flash hider, etc.  She comes with a 30rd G.I. metal magazine.  This is one heck of a nice rifle at an extremely affordable price.
