New sidearms including Walther PPKS Stainless at Gunshine Arms 12/4/13…
Afternoon all. We received four new sidearms in today. Some are shop favorites, and one has never been in the shop before. Let’s get started.
First we have a new Walther PPKS chambered in .380acp and finished in Stainless Steel. Once in a great while, a firearm becomes so popular that it becomes a cultural icon. Like a great car or movie, a great firearm can become a true classic. The PPK established a defining influence on the design of concealed carry firearms. Its elegant lines and precision engineering have a timeless appeal. And a PPK has the solid feel of pure quality. More than ever, the PPK is a statement of sophistication. I can still see M asking 007 for his Beretta and replacing it with the Walther PPK in the beginning of From Russia With Love. Does anything more really need to be said?
Next, we have a familiar weapon with a nice visual addition. We received a new Glock 23 Gen3 chambered in .40SW with high viz red Fiber Optic front site already added on. Compact dimensions for open and concealed carry, minimum weight despite large magazine capacity in .40 caliber. This and the reliability of the GLOCK pistol known throughout the world, which was demonstrated through tests and widespread use by US law enforcement agencies, were decisive arguments for the F.B.I. and countless police authorities for introducing the GLOCK 23 as their official service pistol.
Next, we received a new Ruger SR9. The Ruger SR9 is perfectly sized to be comfortable and controllable with a slim, ergonomic grip and narrow slide. Featuring a short reach from the backstrap to the trigger, the SR9 creates a comfort level that will challenge any standard-sized, striker-fired pistol available today. The structurally rigid, recoil-reducing, glass-filled nylon frame and alloy or stainless steel slide combine to create a low-maintenance, rugged and reliable handgun. The SR9 packs all of the features required by today’s most demanding shooters, including modern blocker, trigger safety, magazine disconnect, plus a visual and tactile loaded chamber indicator.
Finally, we received a weapon that’s never been in the shop. The North American Arms Blackjack II revolver chambered in .22 Magnum. This little revolver makes me think of Riverboat Casino’s and players with more than one kind of ace up their sleeve. This is a little single action only revolver. You have to pull the hammer back to fire it. Normally, you would need to carry this kind of weapon with the hammer resting on an empty cylinder in order to be safe. After all, it is rimfire. North American Arms conveniently placed notches in the cylinder that rest in between the rounds so that you can carry a full five rounds and have the hammer rest safely between the chambers in the cylinder. The Blackjack II has a Black DLC Coating and Pearl Stocks with a single Spade on either side.
In addition to the firearms, we also received more ammunition today and a nice shipment of M&P15-22 25round magazines which have been hard to find for some time now. There are always new lines coming into the shop, so if you haven’t been in here in a while, please stop by. You might find something you’ve been looking for. For the gentlemen that had a pet pot-bellied pig (never did catch a name) that was looking for 35 Whelen rounds for his rifle, they are here.
