Hi all. Sorry it’s a late post today. We received more than just the two long guns today but everything else already left the building. That being said, we have an arrival that has never been in the shop in the Mossberg 930 SPX, and a shop staple in the Colt LE6920 M4 rifle. Let’s get started on the Mossberg 930 SPX because it is one mean tactical 12 gauge.
The Mossberg 930 SPX is a 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun with a tactical 18.5″ barrel. She has a chamber that will take 3″ shells and a max capacity of 8 shells when using 2 3/4″ shells. The rear sight is a ghost ring and the front sight is a high viz fiber optic. This is one of those weapons where you truly understand what they mean by ghost ring. When you snap it up to your shoulder with both eyes open, your right eye naturally finds the rear ghost ring and then spots the front sight. As soon as you have that front sight in view, the rear ghost ring disappears even though you are looking through it. It put a smile on my face. The overall length is 39″ and the length of pull is a nice 14″. She has a smooth cycling, dual gas vent system that reduces recoil and allows you to throw big chunks of lead down range in amazingly quick succession. If you are looking for a tactical semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun, this weapon is a bargain.
We also received a weapon that we try to keep up on the wall in the shop as a staple. If you are looking for an M4 Carbine, the Colt is the classic choice. Throughout the world today, Colt’s reliability, performance, and accuracy provide our Armed Forces the confidence required to accomplish any mission. The heart of this new carbine is its 16.1” chrome lined barrel. With a 1 in 7” twist, ammunition selection is virtually unlimited. Magpul Back-up Sight that are adjustable for windage come as standard equipment on this exceptional carbine. The front post is adjustable for elevation. She weighs in at 6.9 pounds, and has an extended length of 35.5″, and a collapsed length of 32″. She comes with a 30 round PMAG. An all around excellent weapon.
