SIG Sauer P238 Scorpion & GLOCK 42 FDE on 5/19/16…

Good afternoon all!  The two most competent .380acp pocket pistols (just my opinion) landed in the shop today and as luck would have it, they are both colored Flat Dark Earth.  I can speak to the merits of both as I own one of each, and they are the only .380acp pistols in my personal collection.

P238 SCORPIONThe Sig Sauer P238 Scorpion is a Single Action Only micro-1911 chambered in .380acp.  As mentioned earlier, she is Cerakoted in FDE.  A very traction friendly set of Hogue Piranha G-10 grips covers a single stack magwell that houses both a six round and a seven round magazine which are both included.  She sports the standard SigLite Tritium Night Sights.  One of the great non-standard features on this P238 is the Ambidextrous Safety.  That is a rare feature in the P238 line and it’s one that I wish my P238 had as I like to shoot her with both hands.  This weapon fits easily inside a pant or shorts pocket and is an absolute joy to shoot.

G42 FDEThe GLOCK 42 FDE is a Double Action Only, Striker Fired pistol chambered in .380acp.  The frame is actually an FDE polymer, not Cerakoted.  This is a 6 round (two magazines) single stack pistol.  She’s very slim and small and fits easily in a pocket as well.  This is a GLOCK so it doesn’t have (or need) all of the bells and whistles that the Sig has.  She performs beautifully and has very little recoil.  As I stated earlier, I own both of these weapons personally.  They both are worth owning.  As always, thank you for reading the Blog at gunshinearms.com
