Ruger Charger Takedown, LCP Custom and LC9S on 5/26/15…

RUGER CHARGER TAKEDOWNGood afternoon all.  Quite a bit of Ruger came in this morning.  Let’s start with the Ruger Charger Takedown.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with this weapon, Ruger took the 10/22 Takedown Rifle and turned it into a pistol.  She has a 10″ threaded barrel, comes with a Bipod, has a full receiver length picatinny rail up top and comes with a BX-15 fifteen round magazine.  All of that arrives in a nice (large) hard plastic case from Ruger.  If you like the 10/22 platform, you’ll appreciate this pistol.  If you happen to be one of the shops Federal Tax Stamp Collectors, you’ll love it.  Hard to argue with the novelty of this weapon at the price point even if you’ve never seen one before.

LC9S TWINSNext up, we have a pair of LC9S pistols from Ruger.  These are Ruger’s striker fired version of the LC9 pistol that came out earlier this year.  The triggers on these weapon are a dramatic improvement over the former LC9 which was hammer fired.  These are value packed concealed carry weapons from Ruger with the new and improved trigger, single stack slimness and 9mm stopping power.  These weapon disappear inside a waste band, and also have a manual safety which makes them safe for purse carry for our female clients.  Well worth a look if you are in the market for a reliable new concealed carry weapon and don’t have a bunch of loot to spend.

RUGER LCP CUSTOMLast, but not least, is the new Ruger LCP Custom chambered in .380acp.  For those of you who are looking for a true pocket gun that is light, slim, and still packs a punch…this is it.  The LCP Custom also corrects the old (and unbearably long) trigger from the old LCP and adds a set of sights that are actually worth looking through if you have the time.  I tend to think of these little sidearms as “oh, s%#t” guns in that if you need them, you won’t have time to find sight picture but it’s nice to know that it’s there.
