New long guns including Daniel Defense M4 V5 at Gunshine Arms 11/12/13
Good evening all. We received a bunch of ammunition today, some lower parts kits and some great new long guns in addition to the Spikes Lower Receivers that came out in this mornings post. Let’s get started on the long guns.
First, we received a new Daniel Defense DDM4 V5 Lightweight rifle chambered in 5.56mm. The Daniel Defense M4 Carbine, V5 is perfectly adapted for end-users who plan on attaching the ever popular red dot, holographic or magnified optics to their firearm. The slick top monolithic upper receiver provides operators with valuable top rail real estate for accessories that fit their shooting needs.
Daniel Defense was always apprehensive about releasing a factory made firearm with a set or clap style gas block. Therefore the Daniel Defense M4 Carbine, V5 is equipped with a single pinned low profile gas block that is drilled, taper reamed, and press fit into place to securely attach the low profile gas block to the barrel assembly. This creates a rock solid platform that will never let you down.

Next, we have a new addition to the shop. The Weatherby SA-459 Tactical 20 gauge shotgun. This platform is a first for the shop and it’s one we’ve been looking for! It’s an 18.5″ Tactical length barrel with a Semi-Automatic action. She has a pistol grip, ghost ring rear sight and high viz fiber optic front sight. There is a small rail on the receiver in front of the ghost ring if you wanted to place an optic of some kind on there. The reduced recoil of a 20 gauge shotgun in a semi-automatic tactical format can be a formidable combination in the correct hands. It’s a Weatherby so you know she’ll run. This weapon is an all around winner.
Finally, we have some shop favorites that are back! There is another pair of the awesome and economical Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport rifles which are chambered in 5.56mm. These are Smith & Wesson’s entry level AR rifles and they provide A LOT of bang for the buck. These AR’s are ready to go out of the box for $700 (before tax & background) and they run like a champ. They have a Magpul MBUS backup sight in the rear and a fixed front sight to go along with the standard 30 round Magpul PMAG. If you are looking for an entry level AR15, this is the weapon to bring home.
