Five new sidearms and a little Black Friday Appetizer 11/21/14…

Five new sidearms and a little Black Friday Appetizer 11/21/14…

Good afternoon all.  We received some great new sidearms in today and two of them are an early start to Black Friday pricing available immediately.  The Black Friday Appetizer offerings are the last two listed at the bottom of the post.  Let’s get started!

First, we have a new Springfield XDS-9 pistol that came in today.  These are great concealed carry weapons.  I have the .45acp version of this weapon and I love it.  The 9mm version, which is what came in today, has substantially less recoil than the .45acp and higher round capacity.  She is a single stack 9mm weapon with a 3.3″ barrel and comes with one 8rd and one 7rd magazine giving her a max of 9 shots with the bigger mag and one in the pipe.  The sight picture on these sidearms is awesome with two dot white rear sights and a high viz red fiber optic sight for the front out of the box.  Inside the standard suitcase that Springfield Armory sends you is a holster, double mag carrier, and replacement fiber optic sight material in green if you like that better than red.  All around great package from Springfield Armory and a great concealed carry sidearm at a reasonable price.

Next up, we have the direct competitor for the XDS9 in the M&P9 Shield from Smith & Wesson.  You get a lot of bang for the buck out of the M&P9 Shield as she arrives to your for over $100 less than the Springfield.  That being said, you do not get the same kind of package with the M&P9.  You get the same round capacity in a single stack 9mm weapon which is one 8 round mag and one 7 round mag.  She has standard 3 dot white sights.  Smith & Wesson goes very vanilla on the presentation to keep costs down and they succeed admirably delivering a great little sidearm at a bargain of a price.

Third in the rotation is a favorite of mine.  The Ruger GP100 Revolver.  This is a non nonsense .357magnum with a 4″ barrel and a six shot cylinder.  There is growing sentiment in the firearms industry that Ruger is moving into the territory that Smith & Wesson has held for a long time as the manufacturer of the best big bore revolvers at a reasonable price.  Now understand, I believe that Smith & Wesson still makes a great revolver, but there is tremendous value in these Ruger GP100’s as they are also great revolvers at a price point that Smith can’t get near anymore.  Definitely worth a look if you are in the market for a big bore wheel gun.

Last, but not least, we get to the Black Friday Appetizer offerings that are available at a heavily discounted price starting today.  These are two fantastic sidearms from Sig Sauer.  Today we received a Sig Sauer P226 Extreme 9mm and a P229 Extreme 9mm.  The difference between the two is in the barrel length.  The P226 has a 4.4″ Barrel and the P229 has a 3.9″ Barrel.  They both come with the Short Reset Trigger (SRT), SigLite Night Sites (Tritium), and a beautiful set of G10 Grips.  These are DA/SA pistols that both have the decocker mounted on the left side of the frame for operation with your right thumb, and both come with two 15 round magazines.  The Black Friday price is $899.00 (before tax and background) for either one.  These MSRP at $1,239.00 and I encourage you to look at internet pricing for a comparison.  The lowest price I could find was still above what I’m offering them for.  Stay tuned for more deals as next week progresses.  The way I’ll be advertising will reward the people that actually read the Blog!  The P226 Extreme is the first photo below and the P229 Extreme is the second.
